YES HE'S BACK

He said he was calling by cell phone walking through Abbasabad!! I couldn’t believe that he’s back here!
I met him the same day in Haftetir sq., where he was sitting on a bench casting those quick curious looks around, typical of him. That was not so hard to recognize him with those big Nike shoes and baggy pants. I knew that in each of the one hundred pockets he kept a part of his money!
He’s changed a lot in these 2 years, less hair; he’s started to get a few grey hairs. But the same funny sharp boy I knew, he’s what he is and what used to be; doesn’t play a role, doesn’t pretend to be anything else, doesn’t wish to be someone else, doesn’t regret for being what he’s been or what he hasn’t been. The same boy with the same indiscreet sense of humor, he can make us laugh out load, still can impress us.
Having obtained his MS in nanotech, he’s back to work and gain “the money”; a big deal of money as he says, it makes you laugh; the wrong place at the wrong time!
I understand the pleasure he feels when we are sitting in Pishkhan waiting for our sandwiches and pizzas, while laughing silly to his stories of cheating with Indians and using a wireless lap-top connection during the exam and googling the answers; the moments he couldn’t have experienced in last 2 years.
He came and brought me the sensation of those happy days. Those enjoying classes, the billiards, the walks in the engineering school corridor while reciting Eminem songs together; the guitar songs, talking about girls, that photo in the Math class with him showing his naked chest and big belly and I showing my middle finger in it while the professor was teaching (and we were following the lesson though), and all…
Now he has grey hairs. Tired of hard lonely days, came here to breathe the air he’s grown up with. He’s come back but at the wrong time, when we all have made up our minds to leave… God bless him!
